You've unpacked, the washing machine is running, and the souvenirs have found their place. Is the trip over now? From a logistical standpoint: No. We're now entering the maintenance, evaluation, and inventory management phase. Here are the logistics that go on behind the scenes before you even start dreaming about your next destination.
1. Maintenance and Asset Management (Equipment Care)
In industry, this is about making sure your machinery is working. For you, it means your equipment.
Service: Does the trolley case need to be lubricated? Does the zipper on the backpack work?
Logistical gain: By fixing the equipment now, you avoid a critical failure ("downtime") five minutes before the next taxi arrives.
2. Inventory Management and Replenishment
What did you run out of? Sunscreen? Band-Aids? Travel shampoo?
